Position : Assistant Manager - Purchase
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the Infrastructure, Construction, Railway, or Engineering industry.
- Solid knowledge of vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, purchase processes, and material management.
- Good analytical, communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Purchase Management Software, and MIS reporting.
- Ability to coordinate with project sites, stores, accounts, vendors, and management.
- Manage procurement of materials, goods, components, and services as per project requirements, ensuring optimum cost, quality, and timely delivery.
- Conduct market research, identify new vendors, evaluate quotations, and negotiate prices and commercial terms.
- Prepare RFQs, compare and evaluate vendor offers, and issue POs, WOs, LCs, and other purchase-related documents.




- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including monthly vendor performance ratings and supplier history records.
- Monitor purchase orders, dispatch schedules, delivery timelines, quality, and resolution of vendor-related issues.
- Coordinate with project sites, stores, and other departments for material requirements, Stock Transfer Orders (STOs), and timely availability of materials.
- Review and verify purchase quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and requirements.
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Purchase MIS, stock reports, procurement timelines, and management reports.
- Coordinate vendor billing, payment follow-up, and maintain payment and procurement records.
- Analyse market trends and develop procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and ensure uninterrupted supply.
