Designs new products and improvements / modifications to existing designs. Work with manufacturing and suppliers to assure design objectives are met. Assists sales and subsidiary offices with technical information to support all product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with other Product Development, engineering & sales personnel to learn what is needed / required for the new products and or improve existing products for optimum wear, efficiency, and ease of maintenance characteristics.
- Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure a technically accurate and timely completion of new product designs and existing design improvements.
- Works with suppliers and internal manufacturing to provide technical support concerning new and modified product component designs.
- Performs necessary engineering research, calculations, etc. to publish technical data that supports the product line.




- Potential visits to customers sites either with sales or on behalf of sales to provide product support or trouble shooting functions.
- Assists in the writing of product IOM manuals.
- Capable of using standard computer software tools such as 3D parametric program experience, databases, spreadsheets, word processing programs to evaluate findings and prepare reports and presentations.
- Ability to get along with others and work in a team workplace.
