Summary
The Corporate Accounting team’s responsibility is to ensure accurate accounting and reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies. This position will support and manage various financial reporting, fund accounting and other accounting services carried out by the team in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
Education
At least B.Com graduate; M.Com, MBAs in Finance, ICWAs or CAs preferred
Relevant Experience
15+ years’ experience in financial accounting; real estate accounting, or property accounting a plus
Hands-on General Ledger and Sub ledger accounting experience
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus
Technical Know-how/Tools used
Advanced-level knowledge of accounting principles and skilled accounting standards
Expert Knowledge and ability to oversee, conduct and improve processes pertaining to recording, adjusting, and reconciling financial transactions and events
Expert knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for general ledger; the ability to direct and manage company-wide general ledger processing
Basic theoretical knowledge of tax accounting principles to appropriately record taxes.
Expert knowledge of key finance concepts and ability to leverage them to guide process owners and oversee process improvements
Advanced knowledge and ability to analyse financial statements and data to oversee process of preparing financial performance reports
Advanced knowledge of statutory law and audit processes to examine and analyse the effectiveness of an organisation’s operations to provide assistance to Audit teams
