About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our technology team. This intermediate-level position plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of recent and existing application systems. As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and work in coordination with a talented team to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions that meet critical business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development: Plan, design, develop, and manage sophisticated Java-based applications and software using Microservices architecture.
Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including systems analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
Technical Analysis: Utilize your in-depth expertise in applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and provide insightful recommendations based on industry standards.
Project Contribution:
Participate in feasibility studies, provide time and cost estimates, and contribute to IT planning and model development.
Security & Compliance: Recommend and implement security measures and ensure all procedures adhere to Citigroup's policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert, consulting with users, clients, and other technology groups on technical issues. Act as an advisor and coach to new or junior team members.
Operational Support: Provide essential user and operational support for applications, ensuring system stability and functionality.
Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, with a strong consideration for the firm's reputation and the security of its clients and assets.
Qualifications
Required:
8-12 years of relevant, hands-on experience in software development using Java
Expert proficiency with Java, Spring Framework
