Magnum Resources, part of the Sara Group’s Industrial Automation vertical, is looking for a Service Engineer / Installation Engineer for our technical textile machinery range. You will install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain machines at customer sites across India, and act as the technical bridge between our customers, our service team and our overseas machine suppliers.
This is a hands-on, field-facing role. Alongside service delivery, it carries after-sales responsibility — spare parts support, AMC management and customer relationships that keep machine uptime high.
The position is based at our head office in Noida, with 50–60% travel to customer sites anywhere in India.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Installation & Commissioning
Install and commission technical textile machines at customer sites to manufacturer specifications.
Supervise machine assembly, alignment, calibration and electrical connections.
Conduct trial runs and production tests to confirm machine performance meets standards.
Train customer operators and maintenance teams on machine operation.
Prepare installation reports and commissioning documentation.
Technical Service & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system issues.
Provide preventive maintenance guidance to customers.
Attend breakdown calls and ensure quick resolution.
Maintain machine service records and performance logs.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers on technical troubleshooting and upgrades.
Spare Parts Sales & Management
Identify and recommend critical spare parts for installed machines.
Prepare spare parts quotations and follow up with customers.
Support spare part inventory planning and forecasting.
Assist with order processing, dispatch coordination and spare part installation.
Promote machine upgrades and retrofit components.
After-Sales Service Management
Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and service agreements.
