Role Description:
Carrum is building a configurable, scalable and AI-enabled operating platform for fleet mobility—covering driver onboarding, fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, payments, compliance, analytics and partner engagement.

We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can:
• Own engineering strategy, architecture and end-to-end product delivery
• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Deliver complex, workflow-heavy and transaction-intensive products
• Establish a strong QA and quality-engineering foundation
• Build scalable platforms with configurable workflows, rules and integrations




• Deploy practical AI capabilities that create measurable business impact
• Balance delivery speed with security, reliability and long-term architecture
This is not a purely managerial role. We need someone who can set direction while remaining close to architecture, engineering quality and critical product deliveries.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• At least 3 years of engineering-team leadership
• Experience taking major products from concept to production and scale
• Strong technical depth across backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud and DevOps
• Hands-on exposure to AI/ML or generative-AI products and workflows
• A robust understanding of automated testing, production reliability and engineering excellence
