Role Overview

The Software Product Process Consultant will partner with product and engineering teams to optimize product development processes, embed Quality Engineering practices, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role demands expertise in SDLC methodologies, Agile/SAFe frameworks, and QE-driven process improvement to deliver high-quality, scalable software products.

Key Responsibilities

Process Consulting & Optimization

Assess current product development and QE processes; identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
Define and implement best practices for SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and QE frameworks.
Establish Shift-Left Testing strategies to integrate quality early in the lifecycle.
Drive Risk-Based Testing and Performance Testing as a Service models for efficiency.

Quality Engineering Enablement

Develop and enforce QE standards across product lifecycle.
Introduce automation-first approaches leveraging tools for functional, API, and performance testing.
Promote hyperautomation and AI-driven testing for faster release cycles.




Define metrics and dashboards for quality governance and continuous improvement.

Product Lifecycle Governance

Implement governance models for product planning, development, and release with QE checkpoints.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards through robust quality processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with product managers, QE leads, and engineering teams to align processes with strategic goals.
Conduct workshops and training sessions on QE frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Implementation Support

Guide teams through transitions (e.g., Waterfall to Agile, manual to automated QE).
Provide consulting on tooling ecosystems (CI/CD, test automation, performance monitoring).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Solid knowledge of Agile, SAFe, SDLC, and QE methodologies.
Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, performance engineering, and continuous testing.
