Responsibilities:

Installation, commissioning and testing of CNC machines and automation systems at customer sites
Performing preventive maintenance and service activities to ensure optimal machine performance
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues
Providing on-site technical support and assisting customers with technical inquiries
Supporting the development and establishment of service and customer structures within the regional market
Documenting all service activities and coordinating closely with internal and international teams

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

3–5 years of experience in a field service role, ideally within the CNC or machine tool industry

Strong skills in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as CNC (and ideally PLC) technologies
Solid knowledge of CNC milling; experience with Heidenhain controls is an advantage
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings
Independent and structured working style combined with a strong service and customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate in a developing market workplace
High willingness to travel (up to approx. 75%), valid driver’s license and very good English skills
