Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Production to manage and supervise daily production operations in an e-commerce based cover and cushion manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production flow, manpower handling, productivity improvement, quality control, and timely order fulfillment across shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Manage overall production activities for cushion covers, inserts, and cushions
Supervise stitching, cutting, insert, packing, and dispatch operations
Ensure daily production targets are achieved as per planning
Monitor operator productivity and machine utilization
Handle manpower planning and rotational shift management
Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, warehouse, and dispatch teams
Control rejection, alteration, and production delays
Ensure orders are completed within TAT




Monitor WIP and backlog status regularly
Train and motivate supervisors, team leaders, and operators
Prepare daily production MIS and performance reports
Ensure discipline, safety, and process compliance on the production floor

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of stitching and cushion manufacturing processes
Team handling and leadership skills
Production planning and execution
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Knowledge of productivity improvement techniques
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work under pressure in rapid-paced e-commerce operations

Preferred Industry Experience

Home furnishing
Cushion / sofa cover manufacturing
Garment / textile / stitching industry
E-commerce production environment

Qualification

Graduate / Diploma preferred
Textile or production background preferred

Experience

5–10 years experience in production operations
Minimum 2–3 years experience in team handlin
