We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in India. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct financial audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information and accounting records.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- 15-24 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a robust understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in India.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
