As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Responsibilities:
- Translate business and interface requirements into integration designs using SAP CPI/BTP Integration Suite (iFlows, mappings, exception handling).
- Build integrations for SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, C4C, SAP Event Mesh, and third‑party apps (REST/SOAP APIs, JMS, JDBC, SFTP, OData, IDoc, RFC/BAPI).
- Implement synchronous/asynchronous patterns, content enricher, splitter/aggregator, routing, message mapping (XSLT, Graphical, JavaScript/Groovy).
- Develop error handling, retries, alerting, and reprocessable dead‑letter mechanisms.
Operations & Support
- Own transport management across Dev → Test → Prod (Cloud Transport Management Service/CTS+).
- MonitoriFlows (CPI Monitor, SAP Cloud ALM/Solution Manager), troubleshoot performance and functional issues.
- Maintain keys/credentials (Keystore, OAuth2, Certificates) and handle security artifacts (PSE, TLS, mTLS, JWT).
- Produce and maintain technical design documents (TDD), interface catalogs, runbooks, and deployment notes.
Quality & Governance
- Enforce integration standards, naming conventions, and version control (Git-enabled projects).
- Build test plans and execute unit/SIT/UAT support regression automation where feasible.
- Align with security, data privacy, and compliance (PII handling, GDPR, SOC2 controls as applicable).
Collaboration
- Partner with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM, Procurement), basis/security, enterprise architects, and vendors.
- Contribute to integration roadmap, backlog grooming, and effort estimation.
Must‑Have Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on SAP CPI:
iFlow design, adapters (HTTP, OData, SFTP, SOAP, IDoc, SuccessFactors, Ariba, JMS), mappings (XSLT/Graphical), Groovy/JavaScript scripting.
- Strong with SAP integration patterns: IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, OData/REST, SOAP/WSDL, event‑driven integrations (webhooks/Event Mesh).
- Security: OAuth2 (Client Credentials/SAML Bearer), certificates/keystore, TLS/mTLS, PGP encryption, basic auth, IP allowlists, masked logging.
- Lifecycle/DevOps: transport management, version control (Git), CI/CD familiarity (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jenkins), ticketing (Jira/ServiceNow).
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: message tracker, MPL logs, payload inspection, performance tuning (streaming vs. non‑streaming, pagination, chunking).
- Data Formats: XML, JSON, CSV, EDIFACT/X12 awareness (if B2B), and schema validation (XSD).
- Testing: unit tests, mock APIs, Postman/Insomnia, payload simulation.
