Position Overview:

The Estimation & Design Engineer plays a dual role in pre-sales and post-order execution. They are responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial proposals and detailed design documentation for aluminum windows, railings, skylights, and related systems. The role demands strong technical evaluation, cost estimation, drawing preparation, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from inquiry to installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation (Pre-Sales)

- Lead technical evaluation of project specifications, architectural drawings, and feasibility analysis
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals with accurate cost breakdowns (materials, fabrication, installation, logistics, insurance, overheads)
- Ensure timely and error-free quote submissions aligned with client expectations and internal standards.
- Maintain and audit estimation registers,



cost analysis sheets, and rework logs.
- Mentor junior estimation engineers and standardize estimation formats

Design (Post-Order Execution)

- Conduct site surveys and finalize design inputs for production and installation
- Release comprehensive BOQs, budget sheets, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure smooth execution
- Drive quality audits and resolve design-related issues proactively
- Contribute to product improvement initiatives and support recent product development

Tasks & Deliverables

- Macro & micro scheduling of design activities
- Elevation and section drawings with client/architect approvals
- Critical release documentation and workshop drawings for non-standard items
- Daily reporting, team briefings, and inter-departmental coordination
- Data backup and cloud storage compliance

Key Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years in structural design, preferably with experience in aluminium fenestration systems, railing systems, and skylights.

Technical Skills:





- Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS, etc.).
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Window Software, SolidWorks, fabrication techniques, metric conversions, metal weight calculations, drawing interpretation
- Knowledge of relevant structural codes (IS 875, IS 800, BS EN 1991, ASCE 7, etc.).

Skills: Strategic planning, time management, cross-functional communication, problem solving, accuracy-first mindset

Attitude: Discipline, reliability, ownership, team leadership, creative thinking, continuous improvement orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with façade engineering and aluminium system design.
- Familiarity with fabrication and installation processes for aluminium structures.
- Exposure to wind tunnel testing, finite element analysis (FEA), and other advanced structural assessment techniques.
