Shree Balaji Gases is a growing manufacturer and supplier of industrial and medical gases, with operations across multiple locations. As we expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced DA Plant Operator to manage plant operations safely and efficiently.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Dissolved Acetylene Plant Operator who has independently operated a DA plant and understands the associated production, safety, quality and operational requirements.

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates without prior hands-on DA plant operating experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the Dissolved Acetylene (DA) plant safely and efficiently as per established operating procedures.
- Monitor plant operations, equipment condition and operating parameters during production.
- Ensure safe and continuous plant operation and promptly identify abnormal operating conditions.
- Carry out routine plant checks and ensure operating equipment remains in proper working condition.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for equipment-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate plant operating records, logbooks, checklists and production records.
- Monitor production activities, cylinder filling operations and related plant activities as assigned.
- Ensure proper handling and movement of cylinders and materials within the plant area.
- Follow all prescribed safety procedures, PPE requirements,



work permits and emergency protocols.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the plant area remains clean, organized and safe.
- Report any leakage, abnormal condition, equipment malfunction or safety concern immediately to the concerned senior/management.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management regarding production schedules, plant status and operational requirements.
- Assist in maintaining proper documentation related to production, safety and plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and applicable statutory and safety requirements.
- Support inspections, audits, preventive maintenance activities and other operational requirements as required.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience operating a Dissolved Acetylene (DA) Plant.
- Candidates must have actual DA plant operating experience, not only experience in general industrial gas plants.
- Experience in acetylene generation, plant operations and cylinder filling/handling will be strongly preferred.
- Sound understanding of DA plant equipment, operating practices, safety systems and routine troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify abnormal plant conditions and take appropriate immediate action within established procedures.
- Good understanding of industrial safety, PPE, emergency response and protected working practices.




- Comfortable maintaining logbooks, production records and daily operational reports.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a plant environment and in shifts, if required.
- Good discipline, attendance record and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be responsible, alert and safety-conscious.

Mandatory Requirement

ONLY candidates with 5+ years of actual hands-on Dissolved Acetylene Plant operating experience will be considered.

Candidates with experience only as:

- General Plant Operator
- Mechanical/Fitter/Maintenance Staff
- Gas Cylinder Filler
- Helper/Technician
- Oxygen/Nitrogen/CO₂ plant operator without DA experience

will not be considered unless they also have proven DA plant operating experience.

Experience, safety awareness and reliability are non-negotiable for this position.
