OB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTS & FINANCE HEAD

Position: Accounts & Finance Head
Department: Accounts & Finance
Reports To: Management / Director / Principal

Key Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for accounts, finance, budgeting and financial controls of the school.
- Maintain and review books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, cash book, bank book and reconciliations.
- Supervise fee collection, receivables, payments, vendor bills and expense management.
- Prepare budgets, cash-flow statements, MIS, financial statements and variance reports.
- Monitor and ensure timely TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory compliances.
- Review salary processing, deductions and statutory payments.
- Verify purchase bills, quotations, purchase orders and payment documents as per approved procedures.
- Monitor school funds, bank accounts, investments and cash flow.
- Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks, vendors and statutory authorities.
- Ensure proper internal controls, financial discipline and compliance with school policies.
- Identify areas for cost control, savings and productive utilisation of funds.
- Maintain complete and confidential financial records and ensure audit readiness at all times.




- Lead and supervise the accounts team and ensure timely completion of all financial activities.
- Provide accurate financial information and recommendations to the Management for decision-making.
- Handle any other financial or accounting responsibilities assigned by the Management.

Qualification & Experience

- B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school/educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of Tally/ERP, MS Excel, accounting, taxation, audit and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organisational and leadership skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and financial discipline.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
