Key Responsibilities

- Contractor Supervision: Act as the client's on-site technical representative to supervise, audit, and direct the EPC contractor's track-linking and ballasting work.
- Design & Drawing Verification: Review and proofread technical drawings, track alignment geometry, and site layouts submitted by the contractor before ground execution.
- Quality Assurance Auditing: Execute systematic field quality checks on civil formations, sub-grade blanketing, and track component dimensions.
- Material Inspection: Inspect and verify incoming P.Way components, including PSC Sleepers, Points & Crossings, ballast quality, and mechanical rail fittings.
- Progress Monitoring & Billing: Verify actual quantities of on-site work completed to certify contractor invoices, progress metrics, and Measurement Book (MB) entries.
- Rail Operations Liaison: Assist in coordinating with SECR (South East Central Railway) local authorities for final line inspections, speed clearance trials, and tie-in approvals.
- Safety Enforcement: Audit and enforce rigorous rail-site safety parameters, particularly during track-crossing setups, utility trenching, and live-line interfaces

Required Technical Skills





- Indian Railways Standards: Comprehensive working knowledge of the Indian Railways Permanent Way Manual (IRPWM) and relevant RDSO guidelines.
- Track Siding Geometry: Solid mastery over design tolerances for private freight loops, industrial loading siding radii, turnouts, and in-motion weighbridges.
- Site Survey Analysis: Ability to interpret total-station data, track gauges, cross-levels, and longitudinal profiles.
- Software Competency: Practical familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation to read and audit complex multi-layered railway design alignments

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of active field experience in Indian railway track-laying, renewal, or siding projects, with a strong preference for PMC background.
- Location Requirements: Full-time deployment to project sites across the Raigarh district.
