- Creating lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulate learning and creativity in children
- Teaching basic skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills
- Establishing and enforcing rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order in the classroom
- Observing and evaluating each child’s progress and provide reports to parents
- Providing a safe and secure setting for children to feel comfortable
- Identifying behavioral problems and determine the appropriate course of action
- Collaborating with other educators, administrative staff, and parents to ensure the child’s growth and well-being
- Organizing activities that allow children to learn about the world and explore their interests
- Preparing children for the next level of primary education
- Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests
- Attending professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence
