Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Academic and Teaching

- Deliver structured lectures, clinical demonstrations, and interactive case discussions for MBBS and PG students.
- Design and assess internal examinations and contribute to academic evaluation methods.
- Mentor and guide junior faculty, postgraduate residents, and interns during labor ward duties and outpatient/inpatient care.
- Ensure alignment of teaching methodologies with the National Medical Commission (NMC) curriculum.
- Encourage the adoption of evidence-based practices and critical thinking among students.

Clinical Practice

- Provide expert-level care in normal and high-risk pregnancies, infertility management, and gynecological disorders.
- Independently conduct and supervise operative procedures including C-sections, hysterectomies (abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic), myomectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries.
- Manage labor rooms, antenatal clinics, and family planning services in a teaching hospital setup.
- Collaborate with neonatologists and anesthesiologist to ensure safe maternal and fetal outcomes.

Departmental Administration

- Lead clinical rounds and departmental academic meetings.
- Contribute to departmental policy formulation, budgeting, and faculty development.
- Ensure that all documentation and case records are maintained as per institutional and statutory guidelines.
- Participate in NABH and regulatory compliance activities related to clinical and academic quality.

Research and Professional Development

- Initiate and lead departmental research projects, clinical trials, and interdisciplinary studies.




- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, medical conferences, and workshops.
- Mentor undergraduate students and residents in scholarly and research activities.

Community Engagement and Rural Outreach

- Actively participate in women’s health outreach camps and reproductive health awareness programs.
- Support and guide implementation of maternal health programs in rural and underserved communities.
- Train local healthcare workers in basic obstetric and gynecologic care under institutional outreach missions.

Required Qualifications:

- MBBS with MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology from an NMC-recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of post-PG experience in teaching and clinical practice, with prior experience as Associate Professor desirable.
- Should be eligible for appointment as Professor as per NMC norms.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-risk obstetrics, gynecological surgeries, and academic leadership.
- Strong ethical grounding and a passion for medical education and social service.
