- Ensure correct patient identification before OT transfer
- Supervise patient positioning and OT preparation
- Ensure immediate escalation and response during emergencies
- Lead CPR / Code Blue response when required
Clinical Care
- Assist anaesthetists and surgeons in complex procedures
- Ensure OT readiness before surgeries
- Supervise surgical assistance and workflow
- Ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Equipment & Maintenance
· Oversee maintenance of anaesthesia machines, laparoscopic equipment, and microscopes
· Ensure proper functioning of OT lights, HVAC, and all OT systems
· Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with biomedical team
· Ensure all equipment is functional and operational
Infection Control & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Monitor cleaning and disinfection of instruments and OT setting
Ensure compliance with sterilization standards
Quality & Compliance
· Monitor and maintain anaesthesia quality indicators
· Ensure compliance with NABH standards and documentation
· Prepare for audits and quality assessments
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor consumable usage (PMR) and optimize resource utilization
- Ensure availability of necessary OT supplies
- Coordinate procurement and stock management
Documentation & Information Management
- Ensure accurate maintenance of registers and records
- Review and validate documentation
- Maintain NABH compliance records
- Support audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Collect, maintain, and ensure timely submission of quality and clinical data as required by medical administration for audits, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
Patient Rights, Education & Communication (PRE)
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Address patient-related concerns appropriately
Qualification:
B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology & Anaesthesia Technology
Pay: ₹320,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
