Job Summary

Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility & Pregnancy Centre is looking for an experienced OT Head to oversee operation theatre activities and ensure safe, efficient, and well-coordinated clinical procedures. The role involves managing OT staff, maintaining sterilization standards, coordinating surgical requirements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day OT operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily operation theatre activities.
- Lead and guide OT Technicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Prepare OT schedules and coordinate requirements for planned procedures.
- Ensure the OT is properly prepared before each procedure.
- Coordinate with doctors, anesthetists, nurses, and other clinical teams.
- Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are available and properly maintained.
- Monitor sterilization and infection-control practices.
- Maintain appropriate OT records, registers, and documentation.
- Monitor OT consumables and coordinate inventory requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments.




- Maintain patient safety and established OT protocols.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate timely resolution.
- Train and guide OT staff on procedures, safety practices, and workflow.
- Support quality improvement activities within the OT department.

Eligibility

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in operation theatre management or a senior OT role.
- Experience in IVF, Gynaecology, Laparoscopy, or related surgical procedures will be an advantage.
- Strong team-management and coordination skills.
- Valuable knowledge of OT procedures, sterilization, and infection-control practices.
