The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing the all-round development of young learners through age-appropriate, play-based, and experiential learning. The teacher will create a safe, joyful, and stimulating classroom setting that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development in alignment with CBSE Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Classroom Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons based on CBSE-ECCE framework
- Teach foundational concepts in language, numeracy, environmental awareness, art, music, and movement
- Use play-based, activity-oriented, and experiential learning methods
- Foster early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, creativity, and social skills
- Maintain a warm, safe, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress
- Prepare learning aids, worksheets, and classroom displays

Homeroom & Child Care Responsibilities

- Act as the primary caregiver and mentor for the assigned class
- Support children’s emotional well-being, habits, routines, and discipline
- Encourage independence, good manners, hygiene, and values
- Ensure children’s safety, health, and well-being at all times

Parent & School Engagement





- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and needs
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and share developmental feedback
- Participate in school events, celebrations, and co-curricular activities
- Collaborate with coordinators and support staff for holistic child development

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline (Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Diploma / Certificate in ECCE, Montessori, NTT, or D.El.Ed – mandatory
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in pre-primary (preferred)
- Proficiency in spoken English; knowledge of child psychology is an advantage
