Job Overview

Global Wire is hiring an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team in Vallakottai, Kanchipuram. In this role, you will be responsible for executing preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting complex electrical faults, and ensuring maximum uptime for industrial production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance Operations: Execute timely preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and machinery.
- Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical failures and perform quick, accurate troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
- Automation Systems: Operate, program, troubleshoot, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- Metrics & Optimization: Track, monitor, and actively work to improve key reliability metrics,



specifically MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
- Installation & Commissioning: Assist in setting up, wiring, testing, and commissioning new electrical systems and production machinery.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain transparent records of daily maintenance logs, spare parts usage, and breakdown reports while strictly adhering to industrial electrical safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (DEE).
- Technical Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with PLC, VFD, control panels, industrial wiring, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong operational grasp of plant maintenance, electrical safety protocols, and key maintenance metrics (MTTR / MTBF).
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to work under pressure, diagnose root causes quickly, and execute effective repairs.

Pay: ₹8,848.44 - ₹29,372.85 per month
