Job Description – Junior Engineer (Civil)

Position: Junior Civil Engineer
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Yercaud, Tamil Nadu
Salary: 20,000 – 25,000 per month
Industry: Construction

Job Responsibilities

- Assist the Site Engineer in day-to-day construction activities.
- Supervise and monitor site work as per drawings and specifications.
- Check quality of materials and workmanship at site.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, workers, and other site staff.
- Take site measurements and maintain basic quantity records.
- Monitor manpower and daily work progress.
- Assist in checking levels, alignment, and dimensions.
- Maintain daily site reports and work records.
- Ensure proper use of materials and minimize wastage.
- Follow safety procedures and site instructions.
- Coordinate with the Project/Site Engineer for timely completion of works.

Required Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of Civil Engineering and construction site activities.
- Ability to read and understand civil/architectural drawings.




- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of quantity measurement and estimation.
- Knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, and finishing works.
- Basic understanding of levels, measurements, and site execution.
- Knowledge of construction materials and their applications.

Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in construction/site execution.
- Candidates with good site knowledge and willingness to work at Yercaud are preferred.

- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at site.
- Good supervision and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a site environment.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
