Medical Officer – Telemedicine & Community Field Health (Full-Time MBBS)

1. Role Overview
The Medical Officer will lead a hybrid clinical delivery model bridging remote digital telemedicine with structured on-ground community healthcare delivery. The doctor will provide teleconsultations from home while dedicating 10–11 days each month to field pravas (visits) across operational hubs in Assam, Karnataka, Gujarat, and adjacent regions for clinical governance, health care worker training, and direct community engagement.
2. Key Roles & Responsibilities
A. Telemedicine & Remote Consultations (Work From Home)
· Teleconsultation Delivery: Conduct high-quality, structured remote clinical consultations via the designated digital health platform.
· Triage & Coordination: Liaise actively with on-ground field health workers and health care workers for patient triage, accurate medical history taking, vital parameter verification, and structured patient follow-ups.
· Rational Prescribing: Maintain rational prescribing practices aligned with standard clinical management protocols for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs like hypertension, diabetes), anemia, respiratory illnesses, and common public health ailments.
· Escalation & Safety: Strictly follow standard escalation protocols for high-risk patients,
diagnostic uncertainties, red-flag symptoms, and medical emergencies.
· Compliance & Records: Maintain meticulous digital health records and documentation in strict compliance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the NMC and MoHFW.
B. Field Pravas & Clinical Training (10–11 Days / Month)
· Regional Pravas: Undertake planned travel for 10–11 days monthly to designated field clinics and community clusters across Assam, Karnataka, Gujarat, or adjoining state borders.
· Health Worker Capacity Building: Conduct interactive, protocol-driven clinical training sessions for health care workers and field health workers, enhancing primary diagnostic skills and protocol adherence.
· Community Engagement & Counseling: Lead public health awareness drives, clinical follow-ups, and patient counseling on lifestyle modifications, treatment adherence, and preventive care.
· Operational Feedback: Assess ground-level healthcare delivery challenges and provide clinical feedback to program leadership to optimize workflows.
3. Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
· Medical Degree: MBBS from a recognized medical institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). (Exclusively MBBS).
· Medical Registration: Active and valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or any State Medical Council.
· Experience Level: Fresh MBBS graduates (0–2 years)
with strong clinical fundamentals and eagerness to learn, or doctors with prior exposure to public health, rural health, or telemedicine.
· Language Capabilities: Mandatory working fluency in English and Hindi. Strong preference for candidates proficient in regional languages including Assamese, Kannada, or Gujarati to facilitate seamless communication with health care workers and local populations.
· Digital & Clinical Mindset: Comfort with mobile applications, EMR platforms, and adherence to standardized clinical algorithms.
4. Compensation, Travel & Working Conditions
Monthly Remuneration: Fixed consolidated pay of ₹75,000 to ₹85,000 per month based on qualifications, aptitude, and field commitment.
Complete Travel Coverage: 100% organisation-covered / reimbursed travel expenses , comfortable stay/lodging, and daily food allowance during the 10–11 days of monthly field pravas.
Flexible Schedule & WFH: Work-from-home flexibility during designated teleconsultation periods outside the monthly field travel itinerary.
5. Clinical Governance & Onboarding
· Induction & Protocol Training: Comprehensive orientation on standardized clinical guidelines, digital workflows, and community engagement protocols prior to live operations.
· Probation & Evaluation: Structured initial evaluation period (2–4 weeks) assessing protocol adherence, prescription quality, and responsiveness.
· Quality Assurance: Periodic medical audits of digital consultations and prescriptions to ensure high clinical standards and patient safety.
Pay: ₹75,827.74 - ₹85,205.23 per month
