About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior C++ Modernization Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in C++ application development, large-scale code refactoring, and legacy application modernization. You will be responsible for transforming complex legacy systems into modern, maintainable, cloud-native solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

In addition to strong C++ expertise, you should have experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and contemporary DevOps practices.

Primary Responsibilities

- Analyze, refactor, and modernize large-scale legacy C++ applications.
- Improve code quality, maintainability, and performance using modern C++ standards (C++14/17/20).
- Design and implement scalable software architectures following industry best practices.
- Identify technical debt and develop modernization strategies for existing applications.
- Migrate monolithic applications toward modular or microservices-based architectures where appropriate.
- Optimize application performance, memory management, and multithreading.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and cloud engineers to modernize application deployments.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Develop automated testing strategies and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.

Required Technical Skills / Primary Skills (Must Have)

- Expert-level experience in C++ development.
- Strong knowledge of legacy application refactoring and code modernization.
- Experience with modern C++ standards (C++14, C++17, C++20).
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Design Patterns.
- Experience improving application performance, memory management, and multithreading.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with code analysis,



static analysis tools, and software quality improvements.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and automated testing.

Secondary Skills (Preferred)

- Python for automation, scripting, and backend utilities.
- Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- AWS Cloud (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, RDS).
- Docker for containerization.
- Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience with Cloud Native application development and deployment.
- CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Linux system administration and shell scripting.

Desired Experience

- Experience modernizing enterprise-scale applications.
- Exposure to cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of secure software development practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven experience delivering modernization and refactoring projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay: Up to ₹2,200,000.00 per year
