Job Description – Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Location: Hyderabad / Vizag / Chennai
Industry: Plywood / Building Materials
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee sales operations across Hyderabad, Vizag, and Chennai regions. The ideal candidate should currently be working in the plywood industry or possess strong experience in plywood/building materials sales with proven expertise in dealer and distributor network management.

Key Responsibilities

- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and expand dealer/distributor network across Hyderabad, Vizag, and Chennai markets.
- Appoint and manage channel partners to strengthen market presence.
- Build strong relationships with dealers, architects, contractors, and interior designers.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify recent business opportunities and track competitor activities.
- Ensure strong secondary sales and territory growth.
- Coordinate with marketing team for promotional and branding activities.
- Monitor collections and maintain healthy outstanding balances.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and market feedback.




- Guide and support field sales executives to improve territory performance.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of plywood and building materials market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong dealer handling and market development capability.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting systems.

Eligibility Criteria

- Experience: Minimum 4–8 years in sales, preferably in plywood/building materials industry.
- Candidates currently working in plywood industry will be highly preferred.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidate should have good market knowledge of Hyderabad, Vizag, and Chennai regions.
