Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Gold, Silver & Diamond Jewellery Merchandiser to manage product planning, sourcing, pricing, inventory, vendor coordination, market trends, and profitability. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the jewellery industry and the ability to optimize product assortment, margins, inventory movement and GMROI (Gross Margin Return on Investment).

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage jewellery collections across Gold, Silver and Diamond categories.
- Select products based on market demand, customer preferences and current jewellery trends.
- Manage product assortment across different designs, categories and price ranges.
- Monitor gold, silver, diamond and gemstone market trends and pricing.
- Monitor and improve GMROI, gross margins, sell-through and inventory turnover across product categories.
- Analyze product profitability and inventory investment to maximize returns.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for sourcing and production.
- Negotiate making charges, manufacturing costs, MOQs and delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Develop strategies to improve stock turnover and reduce dead stock.
- Assist in product pricing based on metal weight, stone value, making charges and targeted margins.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality control, sales and inventory teams.
- Ensure jewellery quality, specifications,



finishing and product standards are maintained.
- Provide product information, USPs and jewellery knowledge to the sales team.
- Maintain accurate product and inventory records using Excel/ERP systems.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory movement, gross margin and GMROI.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in jewellery merchandising, sourcing or product management preferred.
- Robust hands-on knowledge of Gold, Silver and Diamond jewellery.
- Good understanding of jewellery pricing, metal weights, diamond/gemstone specifications and making charges.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery market trends and customer preferences.
- Understanding of GMROI, sell-through, stock turn and gross margin analysis.
- Experience in vendor/supplier coordination and negotiation.
- Good analytical and inventory management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and jewellery ERP/inventory software.
- GIA or equivalent gemology certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in a jewellery showroom, manufacturing unit, wholesale or retail jewellery business are preferred.
