Greetings from Ashra Technologies

We are hiring...

Job Role: Thingworx Architect

Experience: 8+years

Location: Remote

Job Description:

- Serve as the hands-on Technical Consultant for the client's ThingWorx 10.x and Smart Connected Product Accelerator (SCPA) engagement, configuring, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying SmartConnect capabilities within the approved solution architecture.
- Partner with client architects, delivery leads, and business stakeholders to translate documented Given/When/Then acceptance criteria into secure, supportable, production-ready functionality.
- Configure SCPA applications, solution building blocks, menus, administration capabilities, asset hierarchy, status displays, and endpoint views in line with client requirements and engagement standards.
- Create and maintain ThingWorx entities, including Things, Thing Templates, Thing Shapes, Data Shapes, services, events, subscriptions, and Mashups.
- Implement approved extensions, reusable services, UI components, and integration adapters in accordance with architecture and coding standards, favouring standard SCPA capabilities and approved extension patterns over unnecessary customization.
- Implement and validate attended and unattended remote access for gateway and downstream endpoints, including consent, disconnect behavior, failure messages, and audit events.
- Configure and test bidirectional clipboard and file-transfer workflows, including checksum-based integrity validation where required.
- Implement automated file-watch and ingestion workflows with duplicate prevention, retry behavior, error handling, alerting, and source/status audit records.
- Implement attribute-based endpoint filtering and targeted package execution with target confirmation, privilege enforcement, and per-endpoint result capture.
- Configure endpoint visibility groups, roles, privileges, least-privilege defaults, and auditable user-role assignments.
- Implement JIT privileged-access request,

customer-approver routing, approval/denial, timeout, time-bound access, notification, and audit workflows.
- Develop and support Unity (Salesforce) synchronization for endpoint master data, including field mapping, read-only behavior, unmatched records, alerts, and last-successful-sync details.
- Integrate supported user populations with approved identity providers and apply the appropriate visibility, role, and access policies.
- Develop REST APIs, services, transformations, and data mappings required for enterprise integrations.
- Create automated and manual tests mapped to acceptance criteria; support unit, system, integration, security, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot defects and performance issues, participate in release cycles, and produce implementation documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials for client operational teams.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders during solution design reviews, providing recommendations that balance delivery timelines, supportability, and long-term platform health.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on ThingWorx development, configuration, implementation, or production-support experience.
- Practical experience with ThingWorx 9.x or 10.x and SCPA or comparable ThingWorx solution-building-block frameworks.
- Strong experience with ThingWorx Composer, Mashup Builder, Thing modeling, services, events, subscriptions, permissions, and deployment packages.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, SQL/PostgreSQL, integration troubleshooting, and data mapping.
- Experience implementing RBAC,

visibility controls, authentication/authorization integrations, workflow approvals, and audit logging.
- Experience developing and testing endpoint automation, file-transfer, remote execution, or connected-product capabilities.
- Ability to implement from architecture specifications and Given/When/Then acceptance criteria with clear technical traceability.
- Experience with source control, code review, CI/CD practices, defect management, release support, and technical documentation.
- 2+ years of experience in a consulting or client-facing delivery role, with the ability to manage client expectations, present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, and operate within engagement governance structures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or relevant qualified certification is an asset.

Nice to Have

- ThingWorx Developer or Model Specialist certification.
- Experience configuring or extending SCPA building blocks and reusable components.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, OIDC, PAM/JIT workflows, or enterprise identity platforms.
- Experience with Azure, monitoring/logging platforms, PostgreSQL optimization, and highly available ThingWorx environments.
- Experience in regulated healthcare, medical-device service, industrial IoT, cybersecurity, or quality-controlled environments.
- Experience delivering ThingWorx or IoT solutions within a consulting or systems-integrator engagement model across multiple clients.
