Position Summary:

The Telemedicine Psychologist will provide safe, ethical and patient-centred psychological consultations and interventions through the digital health platform. The role is responsible for remote psychological assessment, evidence-informed counselling and therapy within authorised scope, risk identification, appropriate referral and timely escalation of patients who require psychiatric, emergency or face-to-face care. As part of the founding clinical team, the psychologist will also help shape mental-health protocols, digital patient journeys and an integrated care model that enables appropriate collaboration with allopathic and Ayurvedic practitioners while maintaining clear professional, clinical and confidentiality boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct video and other permitted telepsychology consultations in accordance with applicable qualified, ethical and regulatory requirements.

- Obtain and document relevant psychological, medical, psychosocial, medication and previous-treatment histories.

- Perform remote psychological assessments, mental-status evaluation and screening using validated tools within scope.

- Formulate psychological impressions and individualised care plans for concerns suitable for virtual care.

- Provide evidence-informed counselling, psychotherapy, psychoeducation and behavioural interventions within authorised competence and scope.

- Assess suicide, self-harm, harm-to-others and safeguarding risk, and activate appropriate escalation pathways.

- Identify presentations requiring psychiatric, emergency, specialist or face-to-face assessment and refer promptly.

- Do not prescribe medicines or advise patients to start, stop or materially alter prescribed medication; refer medication-related decisions to an appropriately qualified prescribing clinician.

- Obtain informed consent, explain telepsychology limitations and maintain clear therapeutic and privacy boundaries.

- Conduct follow-up consultations,



monitor progress and adjust psychological care plans within scope.

- Maintain complete, accurate and timely electronic health records, consent documentation, risk assessments and notes.

- Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical doctors, Ayurvedic doctors and other professionals, with patient consent, where coordinated care is appropriate.

- Participate in clinical governance, supervision, peer review, audits, incident review and quality-improvement activities.

- Contribute to platform development, including mental-health pathways, digital assessment tools, AI-assisted workflows and crisis-escalation mechanisms.

- Maintain confidentiality, professional ethics and compliance with applicable data-protection, safeguarding and healthcare requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Education

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or a related discipline from a recognised institution.

- Where practising as a Clinical Psychologist, current and valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration, or other registration required by applicable law.

- Evidence of required continuing professional development, supervision and professional standing, where applicable.

Experience

- Post-qualification experience providing psychological assessment, counselling or psychotherapy in a patient-facing setting.

- Demonstrated experience supporting common mental-health concerns safely within scope.

- Experience with telepsychology, digital mental health or electronic health records is advantageous.

- Experience in crisis assessment,



suicide/self-harm risk management, safeguarding or multidisciplinary care is highly desirable.

Technical Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, case formulation, counselling and evidence-informed therapy.

- Knowledge of telepsychology standards, informed consent, confidentiality, boundaries and referral/escalation principles.

- Ability to recognise mental-health emergencies, high-risk presentations and cases unsuitable for remote management.

- Sound knowledge of suicide/self-harm risk assessment, safeguarding and crisis-management pathways.

- Competence in electronic patient records, video platforms, digital screening tools and standard productivity tools.

- Understanding of privacy, confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive mental-health information.

Pay: ₹1,100,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
