We are looking for Purchase Executive

Location: Salt Lake, Kolkata
Experience: 4–8 Years
Salary: ₹25,000–₹30,000 per month
Industry: Power Transmission

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end procurement activities for materials, equipment, components, and services.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and place purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, quality, specifications, and payment terms.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documents, quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with stores, production/project, accounts, and other internal departments for procurement requirements.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Ensure procurement is carried out as per company policies and required specifications.




- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material quality, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Maintain updated vendor databases and procurement reports.

Requirements

- Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement.
- Experience in the Power Transmission / Electrical / EPC / Engineering / Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Valuable knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, quotations, and commercial terms.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work within deadlines.
