Position Summary

Oversees and coordinates daily assembly, frame fabrication, upholstery, and finishing processes for chair production. Ensures shift output meets quality specifications, safety regulations, and production targets while maintaining cost efficiency and lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Oversight: Plan shift assignments and schedule workflow across frame cutting/welding, foam moulding, upholstery, and assembly lines.
- Quality Control: Inspect components (wood/metal frames, cushions, stitching, mechanisms) and finished chairs against structural and cosmetic standards; resolve defect causes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise assembly line workers, upholsterers, and machine operators; manage attendance, conduct evaluations, and onboard recent hires.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper operation and maintenance of woodworking machines, CNC routers,



pneumatic tools, and sewing equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce PPE usage, machine guarding, and safety protocols to maintain an accident-free shop floor.
- Inventory Control: Track material usage (fabric, leather, foam, metal frames, hardware) and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent production delays.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 3–5 years in furniture, upholstery, or chair manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: High School Diploma / GED required; Associate degree or ITI trade certification in Mechanical, Industrial, or Woodworking trade preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of chair assembly methods (wood, metal, plastic molding, ergonomic mesh, upholstered seating), ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency in ERP/MRP tracking software.

Pay: ₹12,435.44 - ₹35,000.00 per month
