Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader – NPD (Wire Harness & Cable Division) to lead new product development activities, provide technical solutions, and ensure adherence to D&D; processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the NPD team, review projects/open tasks, provide technical solutions, and ensure adherence to D&D; SOPs.
- Manage customer interactions and technical reviews for new product developments.
- Coordinate certification approvals for BIS, UL, VDE, ASTA, Safety Mark, Gulf Conformity Mark, and other applicable certifications.
- Review the feasibility of design concepts, drawings, and samples received from customers or Sales & Marketing teams.
- Prepare and review Costing BOM and Unique Raw Material (RM) Lists after feasibility studies.
- Prepare and review documentation related to APQP, PPAP, and compliance with internal and external audits.
- Coordinate departmental audits as per global/customer requirements and ensure timely closure of NCs (Non-Conformities).
- Review Costing BOM/SAP BOM and Unique RM Lists, and recommend alternate components wherever required.
- Verify prototype samples, newly developed tooling, moulds, and related NPD activities.




- Support PLM training and implementation at the Group level.
- Facilitate the initiation and validation of ECN/DCN, process changes, and machine setups in coordination with the CFT.
- Review and support the preparation of technical documents, including drawings, cutting charts, specifications, and standards for prototypes and production.
- Follow up with the Sales team/customers for part approvals and feedback.
- Coordinate and review internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including BIS and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) requirements.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in NPD / Design & Development within the Wire Harness & Cable industry.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in customer technical interactions and recent product development.
- Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, ECN/DCN, BOM, PLM and audit processes.
- Exposure to product certifications such as BIS, UL, VDE, ASTA and Gulf Conformity Mark will be preferred.
- Strong team leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
