We are looking for a Jr. Accountant / Data Entry Operator to support our Accounts and Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, maintaining accounting records, invoice entries, documentation, and providing day-to-day support to the Accounts Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter purchase, sales, payment, receipt and other accounting transactions in Tally/ERP.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, bills and supporting documents.
- Perform accurate data entry and verification of financial and operational information.
- Maintain records of purchase bills, sales invoices, expenses and other accounting documents.
- Assist in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Assist in maintaining vendor and customer ledgers.
- Verify bills, invoices and supporting documents before processing.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Store, Production and HR departments for required data/documents.
- Prepare basic daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports as required.
- Maintain proper filing of physical and digital documents.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in GST, TDS and other routine accounting/compliance work.
- Perform other accounting and data-entry activities assigned by the Accounts Manager.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP will be preferred.
- Good typing speed with high accuracy.
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / BBA / equivalent qualification preferred.
- Candidates with 12th Commerce + relevant experience may also be considered.
Preferred Candidate
- 0–2 years of experience in Accounts / Data Entry, preferably in a manufacturing or textile company.
- Freshers with good knowledge of Excel and basic accounting can also apply.
- Candidates from Surat/local area will be preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Accuracy of accounting/data entries.
- Timely completion of daily entries.
- Invoice and document accuracy.
- Timely reconciliation of ledgers.
- Timely submission of MIS reports.
- Proper maintenance of accounting records and documents.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
