Job Overview:

McDermott is seeking an experienced Technology Specialist to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud platforms that support business critical applications, infrastructure services, and emerging AI workloads.

The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, identity and access management, security, automation, disaster recovery, and cloud operations. Experience supporting AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and Microsoft Copilot is preferred.

This individual will work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to drive cloud modernization, operational excellence, and AI platform enablement across the enterprise.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS.

- Architect highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.

- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on premises environments.





- Manage cloud resources including compute, networking, storage, and platform services.

- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, and operational procedures.

- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Conditional Access policies.

- Support compliance, audit, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.

- Design and support hybrid cloud and multi cloud networking solutions, including VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, DNS, firewall, and load balancing technologies.

- Automate infrastructure deployments and operational processes using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, PowerShell, and Python.

- Partner with application and data teams to support AI and machine learning workloads, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.

- Monitor cloud platform health, performance, utilization, and costs.

- Evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

- 7+ years of Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience.

- 3+ years of AWS infrastructure experience.

- Experience designing and supporting cloud environments.

- Experience with infrastructure automation, cloud governance, and operational support.





- Experience supporting hybrid cloud or multi cloud environments.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.

- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or generative AI platforms.

- Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

- Experience supporting global enterprise environments.
