Job Description: Senior Accountant

Location: Kochi, Kerala (Full-time)
Experience: Minimum 15 years total; at least 5 years in Trading & Distribution Accounts
Age Limit: Up to 40 years
Gender: Male or Female (both preferred)
Salary: ₹30,000 per month
Education: B.Com or M.Com (mandatory)
Licence & Vehicle: Valid 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler driving licence .
Languages: Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and English (working proficiency required)
Travel: Willingness to travel across South India as needed

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting operations for trading and distribution business units.
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle GST filing, TDS compliance, and other statutory returns accurately and on time.
- Maintain ledgers, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable records.
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners.
- Supervise junior accountants and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
- Support management with financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: B.Com or M.Com from a recognized university.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9.




- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and e-invoicing.
- Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in accounting; at least 5 years specifically in trading & distribution sector.
- Languages: Fluent in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and English (written and spoken).
- Licence & Vehicle: Valid 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler licence; must own at least one vehicle.
- Soft Skills: High integrity, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and team leadership.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to travel across South India for branch audits, client meetings, and field work.
- Ability to work under pressure during month-end and year-end closing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems beyond Tally is a plus.
- Must pass a background verification and reference check.
- Basic knowledge of income tax filing for individuals and companies is advantageous.
