The role requires deep expertise in contractor finance, project risk evaluation, surety underwriting, and portfolio management to drive profitable business growth while ensuring disciplined risk governance. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for establishing scalable processes, strengthening market credibility, and shaping the organization's surety business strategy.nnKey Responsibilities:nn- Lead the Contractor Risk u0026 Surety business and establish scalable underwriting frameworks.nn- Assess contractor financial strength, liquidity, execution capability, and project viability.nn- Review tender documents, contracts, and bond structures to evaluate guarantee obligations and claim risks.nn- Underwrite various surety products including Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Bonds, Bid Bonds, Maintenance Bonds, Retention Bonds, DSRA, Customs, and Arbitration Bonds.nn- Develop pricing models, underwriting guidelines,



and risk control frameworks.nn- Monitor portfolio health through early warning indicators and recommend exposure adjustments.nn- Evaluate project cash flows, cost overruns, receivables, working capital, and banking arrangements.nn- Build and implement portfolio monitoring mechanisms across contractors, projects, sectors, and employers.nn- Engage with contractors, brokers, lenders, and project owners to assess business opportunities and mitigate risks.nn- Train and mentor internal teams while building sustainable underwriting capabilities and governance frameworks.nnRequirements:nn- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.nn- 1015 years of experience in construction or infrastructure contracting organizations.nn- Prior experience as CFO, Finance Controller, Head of Finance, Project Finance Head, Treasury Lead, or Commercial Finance Leader.nn- Robust expertise in project finance, contractor risk assessment, and surety underwriting.nn- Hands-on experience managing:nn1. Project-wise cash flows and profitabilitynn2. Working capital and banking relationshipsnn3. Bank guarantees, collateral, and invocation scenariosnn4. Tender and contract evaluationnn5. Performance, Advance Payment, Maintenance, and Retention Bondsnn6. Cost overruns, receivables, retention money, and stressed projectsnn- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make independent underwriting decisions and reject high-risk business opportunities.nn- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. .
