ZGI PVT LTD offers a professional setting that supports ongoing learning, ethical medical practice, and long-term career development for healthcare professionals.Role Description This is a full-time Ophthalmologist role based in Palakkad, structured as a hybrid position with some work-from-home flexibility for non-clinical tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, prescribing treatments, and providing pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients. The Ophthalmologist will conduct outpatient consultations, review diagnostic tests and imaging, collaborate with optometrists and other clinical staff, and maintain accurate medical records. Additional duties include counseling patients and families, participating in clinical meetings, adhering to regulatory and safety standards,



and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.Qualifications Medical degree (MBBS) and recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MS/MD/DNB or equivalent).Valid medical registration/license to practice Ophthalmology as per local regulatory requirements.Demonstrated clinical competence in comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis, and management of common and complex eye conditions.Experience or training in ophthalmic procedures and surgeries (e.G., cataract surgery, minor ocular procedures) is highly preferred.Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care in clear, respectful language.Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to perform teleconsultations and remote documentation when appropriate.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including optometrists, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.Commitment to ethical medical practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to clinical guidelines and safety protocols.Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or eye care center setting in Ophthalmology is an advantage.Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic digital tools used in clinical documentation and communication.
