This role involves leading a team, ensuring compliance with credit guidelines, and driving operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards across all loan files.Key Responsibilities1. Credit Review & DocumentationReview loan applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with credit and program guidelinesCollect, validate, and organize borrower documentation such as financial statements, tax returns, ownership records, and insurance papersIdentify and reconcile inconsistencies across documents (e.G., ownership details, revenue figures, entity names, and addresses), escalating discrepancies when requiredPrepare loan files for underwriting submission and closing using standardized checklists and quality control measures2. Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and manage a team of loan processing and origination specialistsSet clear performance expectations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outputFoster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment3. Loan Origination & ProcessingOversee the end-to-end loan origination and processing lifecycleEnsure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and credit guidelinesMonitor loan pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues to maintain turnaround times4. Stakeholder CollaborationCoordinate with Sales, Underwriting,



and Closing teams to address documentation gaps and ensure smooth file progressionAct as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on credit operations matters5. Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all loan documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standardsStay updated with industry trends, lending laws, and regulatory changesPartner with compliance teams to maintain adherence to policies and procedures6. Reporting & Performance ManagementTrack team performance metrics and prepare reports for senior managementAnalyze operational data to identify improvement areas and implement process enhancements7. Customer ExperienceEnsure a seamless borrower experience by addressing queries and resolving issues promptlyMaintain clear and professional communication throughout the loan lifecycle8. Systems & Record ManagementMaintain accurate records, updates, and notes in CRM and Loan Origination Systems (LOS)Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness at all times9. Training & DevelopmentConduct onboarding and training sessions for recent hiresDrive continuous learning and skill development within the team through coaching and knowledge sharingQualifications & SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience in Credit Operations, Loan Origination, Processing, and DocumentationMinimum 1 year of experience as a Team Leader (official designation/on papers is mandatory)Willingness to work Night Shifts (US Shift) and Work From Office (WFO)Strong understanding of lending practices, credit policies, and compliance requirementsProven experience in team leadership and people managementExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
