JOB PURPOSE - An experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager/Manager - Finance to oversee accounting operations, cash flows and financial controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, regulatory compliance, effective cash-flow management, and providing reports & insights to support business growth and decision making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
• Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Track revenue, expenses, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure timely statutory payments, tax compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial documentation.
• Monitor working capital, receivables, payables, and cash-flow requirements.
• Review financial transactions and ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with HR, Operations, Procurement, Sales, and other departments on finance-related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• Semi-qualified CA / ICWA/ CMA (Inter) from a recognized institute or equivalent qualified qualification is a MUST HAVE
EXPERIENCE
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably with experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in education, healthcare, or services sectors is an advantage but not mandatory.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Cash-flow and working-capital management.
• Timely completion of statutory and audit requirements.
• Reduction of financial risks and discrepancies.
• Overall efficiency and performance of the Finance & Accounts function.
KEY INTERFACES
• Internal: CBO, CFO, Finance Controllers of AK Entities, Business/Vertical Heads, Academic Leadership, HR
• External: Statutory auditors, tax consultants & banks
