We are seeking a Database Administrator to support the implementation, administration, maintenance, and performance of enterprise database systems.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and restoration activities.
- Support high availability and cluster/failover database environments.
- Investigate and resolve database-related incidents and technical issues.
- Support database security and administration activities.
- Maintain relevant technical documentation and operational procedures.
Skills & Requirements:-
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 35 years of relevant experience in database administration and enterprise database environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (essential).
- Experience with MySQL and/or Oracle will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of database installation, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database backup and recovery, including tools such as Symantec NetBackup.
- Knowledge of high-availability and cluster/failover technologies, such as Microsoft Cluster and SQL Server Always On.
- Experience with database security tools such as Imperva Database Firewall will be advantageous.
- Valuable analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
