Role Description The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens fitting, while collaborating closely with ophthalmologists and clinical staff. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing common visual conditions, pre- and post-operative evaluations for cataract and refractive surgeries, and patient counseling on treatment options, eyewear, and preventive eye care. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical records, using diagnostic equipment, supporting patient flow, and contributing to patient education and community eye health initiatives. This is a full time,



on-site role based in Panipat, requiring consistent presence in the clinic and direct interaction with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

- Relevant optometry qualification (Bachelor's or Doctor of Optometry) from an accredited institution and valid registration/license as required.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens practice, low vision assessment, and management of common ocular conditions.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, tonometers, OCT, and visual field analyzers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care in clear, accessible language.
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation, adherence to clinical protocols, and commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice.
- Willingness to participate in community outreach, patient education programs, and continuous professional development.
- Prior experience in a hospital or specialty eye care setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
