**Job Posting: Senior Java Developer** **About the Role** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our technology team. This intermediate-level position plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing application systems. As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and work in coordination with a talented team to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions that meet critical business needs. **Key Responsibilities** + **Application Development:** Plan, design, develop, and manage sophisticated Java-based applications and software using Microservices architecture. + **Full-Lifecycle Ownership:** Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including systems analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation. + **Technical Analysis:** Utilize your in-depth expertise in applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and provide insightful recommendations based on industry standards. + **Project Contribution:** Participate in feasibility studies, provide time and cost estimates, and contribute to IT planning and model development. + **Security & Compliance:** Recommend and implement security measures and ensure all procedures adhere to Citigroup's policies and regulatory requirements. + **Collaboration & Mentorship:** Serve as a subject matter expert, consulting with users, clients, and other technology groups on technical issues. Act as an advisor and coach to new or junior team members. + **Operational Support:** Provide essential user and operational support for applications,



ensuring system stability and functionality. + **Risk Management:** Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, with a strong consideration for the firm's reputation and the security of its clients and assets. **Qualifications** **Required:** + **8-12 years of relevant, hands-on experience in software development using Java** + Expert proficiency with **Java** , **Spring Framework (Spring Boot)** , and building **Microservices** . + Strong understanding of **Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles** and **Design Patterns** . + **Strong exposure to Database - Oracle** + Proven experience in systems analysis and the programming of complex software applications. + A Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field. **Preferred:** + Experience in managing and implementing successful projects. + Working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques and methods. + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to manage deadlines and changing requirements. + Ability to operate with a high degree of independence and autonomy.
