We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Welder in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Our client is seeking skilled and motivated professionals with hands-on experience in TIG and ARC welding. Candidates who meet the requirements are encouraged to apply early as positions are limited.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform TIG and ARC welding according to job specifications and fabrication requirements.

- Prepare metal surfaces and joints before carrying out welding operations.

- Select suitable welding electrodes, filler materials, and machine settings.

- Operate welding machines, grinders, and related fabrication tools safely.

- Inspect completed welds for proper penetration, strength, and finish.

- Correct welding defects and perform rework when required.

- Follow workshop safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

- Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.

Required Skills

- TIG Welding: Hands-on ability to produce clean and controlled weld joints.

- ARC Welding:



Practical experience performing manual arc welding on fabricated components.

- Joint Preparation: Ability to prepare, align, and position materials before welding.

- Welding Equipment Handling: Familiarity with welding machines and common fabrication tools.

- Weld Inspection: Ability to identify basic welding defects and maintain acceptable workmanship.

Preferred Skills

- Ability to read basic fabrication or engineering drawings.

- Experience using grinders and other metal fabrication tools.

- Knowledge of workplace welding safety practices.

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates should have 1–2 years of welding experience, particularly with TIG and ARC welding. Practical experience in a workshop, fabrication, manufacturing, or similar industrial workplace is preferred.

Education

Minimum: Typical qualification — ITI / vocational training in Welding or a related trade
Preferred: Typical qualification — Welding trade certification
Additional: Relevant welding certification, if available
