What is the role

QuickLend's development team is looking for a smart, proactive, and results-oriented engineer to build robust, elegant and industry-leading solutions for the secured lending industry. The team is looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software with a great team and improving the customer experience for thousands of customers who would be using our product.

You will work on the entire technology stack, from the core persistence layer through to the API layer which our customer facing portals will consume. Our teams are lean, empowered, and collaborative. Being one of the first to join our engineering team, you must be a self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision while working alongside smart, enthusiastic colleagues, communicating effectively with everyone. We are building a strong culture, and we're looking for engineers who can help us shape it.

Qualifications We Look For

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- 1-3 years of hands-on software application development experience
- Knowledge or Experience in Cloud Computing using AWS, GCP or other cloud providers
- Working experience with Java and Spring frameworks such as SpringBoot, Spring Security, etc
- Containerization experience with applications deployed on Docker or Kubernetes
- Solid understanding and modeling in SQL and Relational Database
- Demonstrated knowledge of Distributed and Scalable systems
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Ability to quickly adapt & independently work in a fast-paced Agile environment with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize work and openness to get into the weeds of new technology.
- You like being a generalist. If we do our jobs well, you will spend more of your time building systems than fighting fires, so you should enjoy wearing many hats and working on many parts of the system.
- You can break up a complex system into clean reusable components, and design interfaces and abstractions given the way you expect internal and external users to consume them.

Process of the interview

The interview process will consist of 3 rounds, scheduled as per your convenience. The rounds would be as below:

- Round 1: Coding interview: In this round,



you will peer-code and solve the problems posted to you. You will be sharing your screen as you code the solutions to given problems. This round may consist of 1 or 2 coding questions. You are free to choose any editor of your choice for coding the solution. Duration: 60 mins
- Round 2: Coding & Design interview: In this round, you will be posted with one coding and one design problem. You are expected to solve the coding problem within 30 mins and the design problem within 45 mins. For the design problem, you are expected to make a proposal using any of the online tools you are comfortable with. Scaling, monitoring and resilience of the proposal will be discussed during this round. Duration: 75 mins
- Round 3: Culture fitment: In this round, you will have the opportunity to interact with one of the founders, and get to know the vision for QuickLend, how/what they think of the culture that will be maintained at QuickLend and any other information you wish to seek.
