Responsible for the financial oversight of an assigned portfolio of EMEA legal entities, ensuring compliance with applicable local GAAP and managing statutory financial statements. The role involves coordination with external auditors and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Own financial oversight of an assigned portfolio of EMEA legal entities under the agreed risk-based review cadence.
- Review trial balances, reconciliations, and significant movements, including relevant journal activity identified through variance analysis investigate unusual or aged items and drive timely resolution.
- Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures in accordance with applicable local GAAP.
- Lead day-to-day external audit coordination, including PBC requests, query resolution, proposed adjustments, and tracking control observations to closure.
- Coordinate with the Tax team and relevant process owners on corporate tax provisions, VAT balances, statutory disclosures, and regulatory reporting data.
- Execute entity-level controls,
maintain clear review evidence and work with process owners to resolve recurring accounting or control issues.
- Provide concise status updates and variance commentary, highlighting risks, required decisions, owners, and delivery dates.
Requirements:
- Experience in financial oversight and statutory financial statement preparation.
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Knowledge of applicable local GAAP.
- Experience in coordinating external audits.
- Ability to work with tax provisions, VAT balances, and regulatory reporting data.
