About the Company
Our client is building the infrastructure for the next generation of robotics and physical AI.
Through its Robotics Labs, the company is focused on solving one of the biggest challenges in robotics today: the shortage of high-quality, real-world data required to train advanced robotic and AI systems.
The team works across real commercial and residential environments to capture high-fidelity task data that can help leading robotics companies and research labs build the next generation of physical AI.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality Assurance to own the end-to-end quality function across Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Visual Inspection, Data Quality, and Process Quality.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who has built and scaled quality systems from the ground up and is comfortable working across operations, engineering, manufacturing, and technology teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in automotive, manufacturing, mobility, robotics, electronics, or hardware, along with exposure to AI/ML, computer vision, robotics, or large-scale data-quality operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership
- Own and define the overall QA/QC strategy, processes, standards, and KPIs.
- Build and scale quality systems across operations and manufacturing.
- Establish a strong culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Visual & Product Quality
- Develop robust visual inspection and defect-detection processes.
- Define inspection standards, sampling methodologies, and defect classification frameworks.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
Quality Systems & Processes
- Develop and implement SOPs, inspection protocols, quality gates, and audit mechanisms.
- Establish CAPA and continuous improvement processes.
- Drive standardized quality practices across teams and locations.
Team Leadership
- Build, manage, and mentor high-performing QA/QC teams.
- Lead distributed quality teams across multiple functions and locations.
- Establish clear performance metrics and operating rhythms.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product teams.
- Identify recurring quality issues and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure quality is embedded throughout the operational lifecycle.
Data & Quality Metrics
- Build quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Track and improve metrics including:
- Defect rates
- First-pass yield
- Rework
- Rejection rates
- Customer complaints
- Quality escapes
- Process compliance
Supplier & Process Quality
- Establish supplier quality standards.
- Drive incoming inspection, in-process quality, and final inspection processes.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to improve process capability and quality.
Root Cause & Continuous Improvement
- Lead structured RCA and corrective/preventive action initiatives.
- Apply methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, and CAPA.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in QA/QC, Quality Engineering, or Quality Management.
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, robotics, mobility, electronics, hardware, or a closely related industry.
