About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CAD Jewellery Manager to lead the design and CAD-CAM function for our jewellery operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in jewellery CAD software along with proven experience managing a design team, translating creative concepts into manufacturable, production-ready files.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAD designers to deliver high-quality jewellery designs within timelines
- Convert hand sketches, references, and client briefs into precise 3D CAD models using industry-standard software
- Review and approve CAD files for technical accuracy, castability, stone-setting feasibility, and weight optimization
- Coordinate with design, sales, merchandising, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow from concept to final piece
- Oversee rendering, prototyping, and 3D printing/RP processes prior to casting
- Ensure designs meet quality benchmarks, costing parameters, and client specifications
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to file structure, wax printing, and casting defects
- Stay updated on new CAD tools, techniques, and jewellery design trends




- Manage timelines, resource allocation, and workload distribution across the CAD team
- Maintain design archives, version control, and documentation standards
- Liaise with clients/stakeholders for design approvals and revisions when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in jewellery CAD design, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial/team-lead capacity
- Proficiency in Matrix, RhinoGold, JewelCAD, 3Design, or similar jewellery CAD software
- Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, stone setting, polishing, RP/3D printing)
- Sound knowledge of gemstone setting styles, metal properties, and weight calculations
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Robust eye for detail, proportion, and design aesthetics
- Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, CAD-CAM, or related field preferred

Preferred Attributes

- Experience working with premium/luxury jewellery brands
- Exposure to bridal, fine jewellery, or high-end custom design segments
- Familiarity with Photoshop/CorelDraw for rendering and presentations
- Prior experience coordinating with international clients or export houses is a plus
