- Assist Critical Care Consultants in the assessment, diagnosis and management of critically ill patients.
- Conduct patient rounds and monitor clinical condition, vital parameters and response to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, progress notes and clinical records.
- Assist in procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, intubation, airway management and other critical care procedures as required and under supervision.
- Monitor patients on ventilators, inotropic support and other critical care interventions.
- Identify and promptly escalate any deterioration in the patient's clinical condition to the concerned Consultant.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy and other clinical teams for seamless patient care.
- Review investigation reports and communicate significant findings to the treating Consultant.
- Participate in emergency response, resuscitation and Code Blue activities as required.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety and critical care protocols.
- Participate in handovers and ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Educate and communicate with patients' relatives regarding routine clinical updates, as directed by the Consultant.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements and quality standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, training programs, CME activities and quality improvement initiatives.
