Job Title: Engineer - Quality
Location: Chennai
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience in
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), supplier quality, and warranty management. The role involves cross-
functional coordination, customer interaction, compliance verification, and end-to-end management of FAT
processes and warranty tracking for solar inverter systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Coordination & Execution:
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and QA teams to plan and schedule FAT activities.
• Communicate with customers and third-party inspectors to confirm FAT schedules and
participation.
• Verify compliance with Customer Requirement Specifications (CRS), Design Qualifications (DQ),
and ensure all certifications are complete.
• Guide customers and inspectors through FAT processes, demonstrating equipment functionality
and reviewing results collaboratively.
• Prepare detailed FAT reports and obtain sign-off to authorize equipment dispatch.
Warranty Management:
• Prepare and issue warranty certificates for products (e.g., 330KTL, SACU, 95KTL).




• Maintain and regularly update warranty certificate trackers (new and replacement cases).
• Ensure proper documentation by maintaining both soft and hard copies of warranty records.
• Address customer queries related to warranty coverage, validity, and claims.
Return Material Handling & Analysis:
• Track and record materials returned from customer project sites.
• Coordinate with internal teams for inspection, repair, evaluation, and tracking of returned products.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives based on field returns.
Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Assurance, FAT handling, Factory
Acceptance Audits, or Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI).
• Strong understanding of QA tools, methodologies, and processes.
• Knowledge of solar inverter working principles and relevant IEC standards.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Robust time management and organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and
cross-functional teams.
