Role Description

The AI/ML Engineer (Ontology & Knowledge Graph Specialist) will design, implement, and maintain ontologies and knowledge graphs that support AI governance, risk, and compliance use cases. This contract, on-site role in Chennai involves collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts to model complex enterprise data and relationships.

Daily responsibilities include developing and optimizing graph-based data structures, integrating disparate data sources, and applying machine learning techniques to enhance pattern recognition and inference over knowledge graphs. The engineer will also evaluate algorithms and neural network architectures for graph-based tasks,



ensure scalability and performance of solutions, and document data models, standards, and best practices. The role requires close coordination with stakeholders to align technical designs with business requirements and regulatory constraints.

Qualifications

- Strong foundations in Computer Science and Algorithms, with experience applying them to AI/ML and graph-based systems.
- Proficiency in Statistics and Pattern Recognition for building, evaluating, and improving data-driven models and inference pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Neural Networks, including designing, training, and deploying models for graph, text, or structured data.
- Experience designing ontologies and working with knowledge graph technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL, SPARQL, property graphs such as Neo4j or JanusGraph).
- Knowledge of ML frameworks and languages such as Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and libraries for graph and NLP-based learning.
- Familiarity with data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes in enterprise environments, ideally in GRC or regulated domains.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
