Role: Power Automate Desktop Architect – UiPath to PAD Migration

Experience: 10–12 Years

Employment Type: 4 months contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Power Automate Desktop (PAD) Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power Automate Desktop and UiPath to lead a large-scale UiPath-to-PAD migration initiative.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing existing UiPath automations, defining migration strategies, designing scalable and maintainable PAD solutions, resolving complex automation challenges, and establishing development standards and reusable frameworks.

This role requires a strong combination of technical architecture, hands-on automation expertise, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end migration of UiPath bots to Microsoft Power Automate Desktop (PAD).
- Assess existing UiPath workflows, bots, dependencies, frameworks, and business processes to determine migration feasibility and approach.
- Define migration strategies, architecture, standards, and best practices for large-scale UiPath-to-PAD transformation.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, reusable, and maintainable PAD automation solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to PAD developers and act as the technical SME/architect for the migration program.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues involving:
- UI selectors and dynamic elements
- Web and desktop applications
- Citrix/remote applications
- Exception handling
- Application integrations
- Performance and reliability
- Design and establish reusable components, frameworks, coding standards, and development guidelines for PAD.
- Review automation designs and code to ensure adherence to architecture, security, quality, and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities to optimize existing UiPath automations during migration and improve overall process efficiency.




- Integrate PAD solutions with Power Automate Cloud Flows, APIs, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise applications where required.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, technical teams, and clients to understand requirements and provide appropriate automation solutions.
- Conduct technical discussions, solution walkthroughs, POCs, and architecture reviews with clients.
- Support the team in resolving complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
- Mentor and guide developers on PAD development practices, troubleshooting techniques, and migration standards.
- Ensure successful delivery of migration projects within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate Desktop (PAD).
- Strong hands-on experience in UiPath.
- Proven experience in UiPath-to-PAD migration projects.
- Strong understanding of RPA architecture, design patterns, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of UI automation and selector handling, including energetic and complex UI elements.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex automation failures and performance issues.
- Strong experience in developing reusable automation components and frameworks.
- Good understanding of Power Automate Cloud Flows and integration between PAD and cloud flows.
- Experience with API integration, web services, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of exception handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and automation monitoring.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.




- Ability to lead technical discussions and provide architectural recommendations.

Good to Have

- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Office 365 / Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Experience with SQL and database integrations.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, VBScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience working with Citrix, SAP, web-based, and legacy desktop applications.
- Exposure to RPA governance, CoE frameworks, security, and enterprise automation standards.
- Experience leading large-scale RPA transformation or modernization programs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with strong hands-on UiPath + Power Automate Desktop experience, proven UiPath-to-PAD migration expertise, and the ability to independently handle architecture, troubleshooting, client discussions, and technical leadership will be preferred.

Note: This is a highly technical Architect role and candidates with only Power Automate Cloud Flow experience or limited hands-on PAD exposure may not be suitable.
